How do i go about writing a reciept for a customer that paid cash or check so i can log it with QuickBooks? I only see how to do invoices but i have alot of customers that pay with checks or cash.

I'd be delighted to help create a receipt for your customers who pay with checks or cash.


In QuickBooks Online (QBO) you can create a sales receipt, this is used when the customer pays you on the spot for goods or services. To create a sales receipt:


  1. Go to the Plus (+) icon.
  2. Select Sales Receipt under Customers.
  3. Fill in the necessary information in the Sales Receipt page and save the transaction.

You may also need to create a petty cash account and deposit the money there.
