reconcile difference

In reconcile, i unchecked all transactions. Instead of a zero balance. It shows 1 deposit & 12 payments.

reconcile difference

There are a couple of possible reasons why you are experiencing an issue in your ending balance during reconciliation, Chuck62. Let me discuss them and guide you in successfully reconciling your account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The possible reasons are:

  • duplicate or missing transactions
  • transactions inputted weren't cleared out from the bank

To fix this issue, let's review and verify the details of the opening, beginning balance, and the corresponding transactions.

Additionally, the deposit and twelve payments that you've mentioned indicate that you have placed a checkmark for the deposit and payment transactions that are matched in the bank statement. Doing so affects the reconciliation amount showing a different amount instead of zero.

Since you already unchecked all transactions but still see the payments and deposits, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to see if this is a browser-related issue or not.

You can start by logging in to your QBO account using an incognito or private browser window.

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If it works, return to your regular browser and reload the tap or page where you accessed your QBO account. If the issue persists, clear your browser's cache. But keep in mind that this may affect your unmatched and uncategorized downloaded bank transactions.

Otherwise, you can use other supported browsers as an alternative.
