Hello.

Has anyone experienced the attached in QB Enterprise?  It has been happening frequently with a colleague and just happened on my station.

Thank you in advance.

I've got you covered, PJCostas.

A system corruption may cause you to have software display issues. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the black or white screen display in QuickBooks Desktop.

You can by download and install the QuickBooks Tool Hub. I'll show you how.

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. Once done, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Then, run the Quick Fix my Program from the tool hub.

Here's how:

  1. In the QuickBooks Tools Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Click Quick Fix my Program.

For your reference, see this article for more details: QuickBooks Desktop fields display black instead of white.

If you've changed or use a newer high-resolution monitor, you may follow the steps in this resource: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

This happens to me sometimes when QuickBooks sucks up all the GDI resources on the machine and can no longer display all of it's colors and graphics properly.  Or maybe some other process does.

When it has happened to me, restarting the computer fixed it.
