Buy nowCan QB Pro 2008 be installed on a laptop running Windows 10? Or must I buy a new version of QB? I have an extremely small company, only two employees, and have been happily using QB Pro 2008 since 2008. It is installed on a Dell Inspiron running Windows Vista, and an HP Pavilion running Windows 7. We don't need any of the QB capabilities available post-QB 2008, so haven't bought new versions. Yesterday, the Inspiron said that QB was expired and can't open the company file. I updated QB and got the same error message. QB is still running on the HP with Windows 7, but the computer must be replaced. I don't want to buy a new version of QB or a subscription because 2008 does everything we need. Suggestions?
Try to reinstall and run your QBD 2008 in Win 7 or Win 8 compatibility mode on your Win 10. QBD 2008 doesn't support Win 10 natively. If the same error persists, you should consider buying a new license for QBD 2022 or 2023 Pro Plus to upgrade your version. Another option, you can explore a free desktop program to replace your QBD completely.
