Remote check printing via LogMeIn

I am accessing QB Desktop remotely via LogMeIn. I recently upgraded my printer to an Epson workforce. previously I was able to print checks on my local printer, but now I am unable to get the checks to align.

Hello there, ncermak.

Before we do any troubleshooting steps, I'd recommend updating the release version of QuickBooks Desktop.

After, you can follow the detailed steps in this article on how to do alignment adjustments: Align Checks, Invoices, and Other Forms for Continuous-Feed (dot matrix) Printers.

Aside from that, it always best to establish a stable internet connection since you're remotely accessing QuickBooks Desktop.

Let us know how this goes so we can further assist you. Have a great day!

Hi there, @ncermak.

Thanks for sharing the things you've done to make sure the alignment on the checks is good. Before we continue the troubleshooting steps, I'd like to know if you've followed the steps in the article provided by my colleague. If you haven't done it yet, please follow the steps below to make the coarse alignment. Note: You can ask assistance from IT personnel to help you with the process.

  1. Go to File > Printer Setup.
  2. In the Form Name drop-down menu, select the type of form to be printed (for example, Check/PayCheck).
  3. In the Printer type drop-down menu, select Continuous (Perforated Edge).
  4. Click the Align button.
  5. Click the Coarse button, and click OK on the Do Not Adjust Your Printer pop-up message to print a sample form.
  6. Check the pointer line that QuickBooks printed across the middle of the sample, and note the number closest to the arrow points.
  7. Enter this number in the Pointer Line Position field and click OK.

To know more about the steps, please read through this article: Align how your checks print. This also contains further troubleshooting you can apply to make the checks align.

I'll be here if you have other questions. Let me know in the comment section and I'd be glad to help. Take care.
