Thank you for the help. Camps did not help. I added a second company to my main account as I was running tests and it is that test company I have password problems with. I now wonder if that is the problem, as I used a different email address. Luckily it is not too much of a hassle if I lose it all just a few hours reinstalling everything. That on its own is a lesson learned.

The automated password reset does not function for me. I think as I am running a second company from the first while I do some tests. I can access the main company as I have that password, just not the second company.
I will probably just start again as it is only a test thing and I have spent too long on this anyway.

QuickBooks 2024 uses a token-based system. This means instead of answering old security questions, the system sends a one-time code to the admin email on file to verify it's really you.

To get back into your 2024 file quickly:

1. On the login screen, click I forgot my password.
2. Select your email address from the list and click Next.
3. Check your inbox for a verification token (code) and enter it into QuickBooks.
4. Follow the prompts to create your new password.

If your email is not listed, please select "Don't see your email in the list above?" and follow the on-screen instructions. You will need to provide your License Number (press F2 to view it) and the Zip Code or Phone Number you used when you purchased the software to verify your identity.
