Scan Manager

Hello,

Scanning was working fine with my HP Printer until I swaped out my Modem and had to have HP support set the printer back up. Before this I was able to scan multiple page documents with no problem. Now I can still scan but for multiple page documents I have to do them one at a time scan manger won't scan all pages in one effort.

I have looked for settings in QB Desktop Pro 2020 but there are just the basic settings. The printer on its own using the HP smart Sofware works fine. any sugguestions would be helpful.

Let's go ahead and do some troubleshooting steps so you can scan multiple pages, DS52.

 

There may be some issues with the scanner or settings that need to be configured. You can perform the following steps below to fix the issue.

 

  1. Delete your scan profile and create a new one. If it still doesn't work, proceed to the next step.
  2. Change user account settings in Windows.
  3. Repair QuickBooks, and then try scanning again.
  4. Reinstall using a clean install, set up QuickBooks Scan Manager, and try scanning documents.

Scan Manager

Thanks for getting back to me Maryland, I did notice that after HP helped me with the install that instead of TWAIN it now says WIA for my scanner. I did not mention that in my first post. this morning attempting to follow your instructions. I opened the Doc Center and clicked Scan Document but got the message that " Can't find the Scan Driver".

In windows I had to use the IP address for the Printer and got it back on the list of Printers and Scanners in Windows 10 but it said the Diver was unavailable.

Went back into QB and that profile showed up again but I can still only scan one page at a time for multiple page Docs. I ran the QB HB to repair and also the the printer repair. Before all this my Hp software would pop up and everything worked fine. Not sure what to do now other than Scan documents into my computer which works fine and add to Document Center and attach from the computer. extra step what a drag.
