Scanning reciepts for QBO using Iphone.

I'm new to QBO and accounting. My boss uses his iphone to scan in receipts. When he gets to the banking info (checking account or credit card used) they pop up for him. When I scan receipts, the checking account and credit card info is missing. My boss as administrator, tried to make changes so I could scan receipts for him, but to no avail. Can you help???

I'm here to make sure you'll be able to scan receipts in QuickBooks Online App. 

 

You can let your master administrator to remove then re-add as a user to check if the profile access has the problem.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to QuickBooks. 
  2. Go to the Gear icon and choose Manage users.
  3. Choose a user you want to delete. Click the arrow icon in the Action column, 
  4. Select Delete. 
  5. Click Delete again to confirm.

My boss (administrator) deleted me as a user and readded me.  I deleted my online app and  accepted the new invitation from my boss.  I can take a photo of the receipt, but I still cannot access the checking account and  credit card accounts.  This help suggestion did not work.  I sure hope you can help us out on this!!!   I'll wait to hear from you!

I appreciate you for performing the steps provided by my colleague. If the Administrator set up you in a Limited access right setting, the option to view the bank register is unavailable. This is applicable for both Customers and Vendors access types. See the screenshot below for your reference:

You can request your Administrator to change the access type to All to view the register in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks with a user profile that has permission to manage users.
  2. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu. 
  3. Select Manage users.
  4. Find the user you want to edit. Then click Edit in the Action column.
  5. In the User type drop-down menu, select All as the new user type.
  6. Press Save.
  7. Ask the user to sign out and sign in again into QuickBooks Online to see the updates.
