Does Quickbooks need to remain in single user mode to conduct the scheduled backups, or can it be switched back to multi-user mode after the schedule is configured?

In QuickBooks Desktop, you don't need to remain in a single-user mode after setting up a scheduled backup, @ajkelsey.
After setting up scheduled back-ups, you can manually revert to multi-user mode.
Here's how:
On the scheduled date, ensure no other user is accessing the file to complete the backup process.
