Shipping address labels printing sideways

Morning!

    When we have an invoice open, and select "print shipping label" the address prints sideways on the label and is cut off. We have a Dymo Twin Turbo label printer & use Label City #120300 labels (a roll of 2& 5/16" x 4" thermal labels). I have found how to adjust the print left, right, up, & down, but not where to change the direction. Please help!

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Let's make sure that your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to its latest release. This is to make sure that you have the latest features and will help you fix issues within your company. See this update QuickBooks to the latest release article for more information. 

 

Then, run the Verify and Rebuild Utility tool can help you fix this. The Verify Data can initially identify any data issues within your company file. Then, the Rebuild tool will self-resolve it. However, before we begin with the troubleshooting, let's secure a backup of your company file. Once done, we can proceed to verifying and rebuilding your data in QuickBooks Desktop. 

 

Verify data: 

 

  1. Go to File, then Utilities and choose Verify Data.

 

If it will detect an error, proceed and Rebuild your data

 

  1. Go back to the File menu and then Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. Choose OK if you’ll receive a message to back-up your company file.
  3. After creating the back-up file, the Rebuild Data utility will run automatically.
  4. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed

However, if you are still unable to change the adjustment direction, I suggest reaching out to our support team, This way, they can recommend more fixes and resolve your issue in a timely manner.

My question is how do I change the alignment, not that it isn't working. How do I change the alignment?

I'd like to share some steps where you can modify the alignment for your labels. Before doing so, please do the following:

 

  • Ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop is updated to the latest release.
  • Your computer is connected to the printer and that the printer software is installed.

Then, follow these steps to update the printing settings:

 

  1. Go to File > Print Forms > Labels
  2. Select the labels you want to print and click OK. This will open the Settings window. 
  3. In the Settings tab, choose the Printing Direction and click the Align button. 
  4. Click the Print Sample button to see the alignment.

I am having the same problem with printing vertical instead of horizontal.  I have enterprise 22 I rebuilt my data and have NO errors.  I have a Dymo Twin Turbo 450 which is a Quickbooks compatible label printer.  I was also told from someone at quickbooks to open a PDF and see if I could rotate it and I can.  I cannot print my barcodes and I am frustrated.  Please help!!

I'll make sure you're able to print barcodes seamlessly in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Since the issue persists even after following the suggestion shared by my colleague above, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. You can work with one of our specialists in creating a ticket letting our engineering team investigate the root cause of the problem raised. To do so:

 

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter Unable to print barcodes correctly in the What can we help you with? text area.
  5. Choose Chat with us to connect with our team online.
