Is it possible to have 2 separate computers using the same quick books application? Example: type an invoice on one computer, save it and close it, view it on the other computer, and edit it? I've researched and to no Avail. I've called Intuit and was told about the multi user function. I have it turned on but it's not what I need. I've heard phrases like, networking, wireless networking, same Wi-Fi, etc...what I'm asking is does it exist? Help, please!
Good day, Clchaney75.
Yes, you can. QuickBooks Self-Employed can be accessed using two separate computers. You can also access QBSE via a mobile app. Simply use the same login credentials and you can work from your mobile or work in front of your computer.
You can download the QBSE app using the links below:
If you want to learn more about the basics of your account, you can check the QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview for your reference.
Please let me know if I can be of any additional assistance in a comment. I'm always here to help.
Absolutely Yes! This is called multi user mode. You can share a folder and have second computer with 1 more license share the same data. Give us a call at [Removed phone number]. We will explain how this works.
Your tag is QB Self Employed. Which platform do you prefer? QBSE/QB Online or QB Desktop? If you are not familiar with any technical terms (e.g networking, VPN), you should consider QB ONline.

Sounds like you want QuickBooks Online Essentials. It supports 3 user access from different computers or different locations. You can use it on your phone, tablet or Windows or Mac computer. If you enter an invoice on one computer it is instantly updated on others (if you are logged in). It is currently available at 50% off for 12 months, which is only $20/month for 3 user access. Reach out if you need any additional info on this. It comes with unlimited tech support.
