Nice to have you joined this thread, @cn85.

I can share with you some troubleshooting steps to get around the error message. I recommend logging out and logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This will refresh the connection and for any changes to take effect.

If this is not the access, I suggest accessing your account on a private or incognito window. This way, we can check if this issue is caused by browser cache.

The browser uses cache and cookies to help load web pages faster on your next visit. However, this can cause odd behavior that affects the views and performance of QBO. Using a private window is the best way in identifying the issue as this doesn't save any junk files.

To open an incognito window, you can follow these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge browser)
  • Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
  • Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)

If you’re able to view your transaction register I’d suggest deleting your browser cache to refresh the system. If the issue persists, I recommend using other supported browsers. This way, we can identify if this is a browser-integrated issue.

Once you're all set, you might want to check this link for guidance: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. This can walk you through the steps in matching your bank and QuickBooks balance seamlessly.

I'll be around if you have other follow-up questions managing your transactions. Just tag me in your reply and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Stay safe!

Hi jbogaert, Appreciate you for joining this thread and letting us know that you're also experiencing the same behavior. I'm here to help you fix that error.

Can you share what part or specific area in QuickBooks this error occurred? Any details highly is appreciated.

Also, have you tried performing the solution shared above? If not yet, we can try those details. It's likely a result of a browser error. If that's the case, we can use a private browser to prevent storing additional cache files that may be causing this kind of error message.

Step 1: Use an incognito window:

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command Shift

Step 2: Delete cache and temporary internet files:

If the error disappears, we can clear cache and temporary internet files to optimize the browser's performance. It will also help delete the information stored in the cache.

Step 3: Use other supported browsers in QuickBooks:

  • Google Chrome: version 78 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox: version 76 or newer.
  • Microsoft Edge: version 75 or newer
  • Safari: version 12 or newer (Mac only)
  • Opera: version 68 or newer
  • Samsung: version 10 or newer

Also, we can visit our QuickBooks Online Help Articles. This page contains information about handling subscriptions, transactions, reports, taxes, and company data.

I'm always around to help you fix the error you received unexpectedly in the program. Let me know if you have more concerns by posting below. Take care and stay safe.

I had this issue.  Tried deleting my cache and that didn't work, so I deleted my cookies and it fixed the problem.

Hope that helps.

I've got the same problem. I've logged out. Logged in on a separate browser. Disconnected my bank and reconnected but its still the same
