This week, Quickbooks online has been going PAINFULLY slow. WHAT IS THE DEAL????

In the past 3 days, the amount of lag I experience with QB has been horrible.  Is anyone else experiencing this?  Is there a fix?

This week, Quickbooks online has been going PAINFULLY slow. WHAT IS THE DEAL????

I appreciate you for bringing this to our attention, @usertessa, @Just_me.

I know how you're feeling about the slow performance of QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me impart a few details on this to resolve the issue.

To begin with, it's imperative to note that there is a 10-second waiting period for QBO's initiation. Our systems undergo constant monitoring to ensure that we meet this target. However, it's important to remember that since this program is web-based, its efficacy largely hinges on the processing power of your device or computer. The amount of memory (RAM) available and the bandwidth of your internet connection are critical factors that determine whether the program will function optimally.

To speed up its performance, ensure to consider the following:

  • Ensure you have the most recent version of Google Chrome by going to the Chrome menu, selecting Help, and then clicking on About Google Chrome.
  • Check that your operating system is up to date and you meet or exceed the System Requirements for QuickBooks Online.
  • Verify your internet speed (bandwidth) is not limiting your QuickBooks Online experience. Run a Google Speed Test to confirm your bandwidth/the speed of your connection. To better understand the results of the Google Speed Test, be sure to read over how the results are determined and what they mean.

This week, Quickbooks online has been going PAINFULLY slow. WHAT IS THE DEAL????

This week, QBO pages have been taking more than 30 seconds to load consistently. I'm hitting the 30 second Chrome timeout prompt all the time, sometimes multiple times before the page actually loads. A 10 second target for every interaction is not acceptable and any software engineer who says that has no idea what they're talking about.

This week, Quickbooks online has been going PAINFULLY slow. WHAT IS THE DEAL????

I have been experiencing the same 30 second "Wait" or "Cancel" window for the last several days.

I checked the list:

Google Chrome verified up to date

Windows 10 Pro OS

32 GB of installed memory

Intel i7

Windows reported "You're up to date"

Speedtest: 231.85 download, 37.34 upload

I don't see any problems here... seems to be a Quickbooks problem

Eye-roll seems appropriate.

This week, Quickbooks online has been going PAINFULLY slow. WHAT IS THE DEAL????

I have been experiencing multiple 30-second Wait windows for the next page to load.

My system aces the checklist provided

  • Chrome reports it is up to date
  • Running Windows 10 Pro
  • 32 GB memory installed
  • Intel i7 processor
  • Windows reports, "You're up to date"
  • Speedtest: 232 Mbps download and 37 Mbps upload

There seems to be no reason for the delayed page openings.

It seems to be a QuickBooks Online issue that needs addressed.
