Item for applying Commission Paid
My products are sold through various outlets, each with a different rate of commission. Each outlet is invoiced for the items they’ve sold, with the commission due, included for each line item, then sub-totaled. Next line, the total amount of commission due to the sales outlet is deducted. The balance due is payable to my company.
In QB Desktop for MAC 2019 I had an Other Charge Type Item that calculated and applied the amount of Commission paid to each outlet and applied it to a Commission Paid, Cost of Sales Type account.
The migration to QB Online Plus changed those items to a different type. Account.
How do I set up an item(s) to accomplish what I’ve been doing since I started with QB Desktop for MAC 2013.
In anticipation… thanks for your help.
Don

I really appreciate your guidance and all the past help offered to make the transition QBD for MAC 2019 to QBO. But even after 6 weeks, every day reveals more incompatibilities. QBO is just. not for my business. The complier used to make the migration from 2019 is inadequate. I now realize there are newer versions of QB Desktop available. I am going to purchase QBD Pro Plus 2022 for MAC. I've checked all the reference material but all the help I need is: Does 2022 provide: 1. inventory, 2. on line banking download/upload function, 3. Is there a trial version I can test and 4. Can I apply the unused portion of my QBO annual subscription to purchase QBD2022? Thanks again...Don
