Buy nowIs there a way in QuickBooks Online to troubleshoot prior account balances like you can in QuickBooks Desktop in the Client Data Review section?
Thanks for visiting us here today, skibum151.
I'll share some information about troubleshooting prior account balances. The Data Client Review is available in QuickBooks Accountant version. In QuickBooks Online, this option is unavailable. However, if you have an accountant with QuickBooks Online Accountant version, they have the option to reclassify transactions. This feature is the same as the Client Data Review in the Desktop version. Let me guide you how.
Check out this article for more information about this feature: Reclassify or move multiple transactions at once.
If you don't have an accountant version, you can invite an accountant to perform this action on your behalf. Refer to this guide for details: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.
I'm also adding this link for additional resources. It has topics you can learn on how to use accountant tools and features in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Please don't hesitate to reply to this thread if you have other questions or concerns with your account balances. I'll be around for you. Take care and have a good one.
Thank you for your response. I actually am a new accountant (and new to QB Online) so I do have the accountant tools available. I'm looking for a way to use last years ending account balances compared to this years beginning balances and if they are different, make one big journal entry like the troubleshoot prior account balances in the desktop version. I know I can do this manually but I was wondering if there was a more convenient way to do that in online. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks again.
