If you’re trying to change the inventory quantity in the program, you can import an inventory file to override and update the existing quantity of these items. Here's how:
Click on the Gear icon, then choose Import Data.
From the list, select Products and Services.
In the Import Products and Services page, select the Browse button. (You can also download the sample file to see how the columns look like.)
Find and select the Excel file, then select Open.
Select Next to continue.
Map your data.
Click on Next.
Check the Overwrite all values for each product or service that you import with the identical name. (This can't be undone).
Click on Import.
On the other hand, if you’re trying to edit your product details just like cost price and selling price, you’ll need to do it manually. This adjustment will only affect the transactions moving forward. You can also reach out to your accountant for the best advice. This way, we can ensure that your bookkeeping is done correctly to reflect the appropriate prices at the right time.
Go to Sales.
Select Products and Services.
Locate the product you wish to edit.
Select Edit under the Action column.
Change the cost amount.
Select Save and close.
