QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers various ads to create awareness of its features. While you can't disable pop-ups, you can consider closing them by clicking the X or No thanks buttons.
Additionally, you can use a pop-up blocker extension to effectively manage pop-ups in QuickBooks, improving your interface and navigation experience. I'll show you how.
Here's how for the Safari browser:

We should close all Intuit adds over and over and over again...
There is no way to say no thanks for x out of the new payroll ad banner at the top.
Let me share more information about the ad banner in QuickBooks Online, @thrivetp.
I understand that closing the pop-up ad banners is essential as they occupy space on your screen. Moreover, QBO displays these banners to ensure that you receive all our updates.
As you mentioned being unable to close the pop-up ad banner, we can disregard this. I recommend sending feedback to our product engineers to let our team know that there are ad banners that can't be closed as there is no X or No thanks button to click, you can also provide suggestions to improve your experience with QBO by following these steps:
Additionally, here's an article that you might find helpful if you want to customize your sales receipt: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the program. Have a great day.
I would say that the best solution would be to drop QBO like a boiling potato and go back to Desktop, but honestly... they're starting to show up there in force too.
We don't need a daily reminder that Quickbooks wants us to spend more money with them. We are spending enough money, we just want to do our work.
You do understand, this is not some entertainment app we play on our computers or phones for fun? We use QB to do our work. We pay QB for the software. We shouldn't get ads constantly every time we open a new screen. This afternoon, it was a half page ad for letting QB have online access to my bank accounts that was plastered across the dashboard.
With as incompetent as the programmers and marketing people at Intuit are, why in the world would I want you to have access to such information so you can send it off to your hackers in China to steal me blind?
QBO needs to add a feature where you can select "not interested" and not have the same type of service or feature ad come up again. I do not need an ad everyday asking if I want a business loan, or add a live accountant help or whatever else they are trying to upsell. I am already spending plenty of money every month for their service. It feels like paying a premium for a streaming service and still having to watch commercials!
An ad-free experience allows you to manage finances with greater ease and satisfaction, tonyw12. I can help you request this functionality from our developers to make financial management feel more professional and focused.
The pop-ups are displayed to assist users in effortlessly exploring QBO. I recognize that subscribing to a premium service is often an investment in productivity, security, and advanced capabilities. To have an ad-free environment while conducting business, I recommend submitting a request regarding an option where you can set your preferences to decline promotions.

It's good to have you in the Community forum, vaughan.
We appreciate you being here. To assist you effectively, could you clarify your concern? Are you looking to disable the pop-up ads in QuickBooks? If that’s the case, you can follow the steps shared by my colleagues in the thread.
On the other hand, if you meant something different, please provide more details in the comments below. This information will help me give you the accurate solution tailored to your needs.
In the meantime, here’s a website you can visit to stay updated on the latest product enhancements: Firm of the Future.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. Take care and stay safe!
The 'steps shared' by your colleagues are only to submit feedback or to continue to manually close out the (CONSTANT BARRAGE) of pop ups and ads. Neither of these is a SOLUTION to the issue everyone here has repeatedly mentioned.
Part of Intuit's issues is that you do not understand the word enhancement. An enhancement is something that makes life better. A constant barrage of ads, attempts to get me to take a loan out from an organization that is not customer oriented at all, none of these items make my life better.
Fix the multitude of problems with the software, provide us a a simple way to opt out of all of your marketing schemes, and let us do our jobs.
Realize, for most of us, accounting is not our job. We have work to do, and accounting is a necessary evil to our goal of providing services and products to our clients. Every time I have to click to cancel some ad, scroll down past ads I can't click off, those are seconds that slow down my work and don't provide any value to my customers.
Invoicing is a perfect example I use to explain to people: I can't invoice a customer for the time it takes me to invoice a customer. That needs to be seamless, not interrupted by ads or having to trouble shoot some glitch caused by an ENHANCEMENT some programmer in a basement thought would be neat to implement. The last thing I would ever want is for your AI, with all of the incompetence of Quickbooks at it's disposal, contact one of my customers in a collection effort. That is downright scary, and I doubt your programmer has ever studied the Fair Debt Collection Act.
YES, brother! Preach it! I [removed]% AGREE.
