undeposited funds

Hi, my name is [Removed] and I work for Dunstan Trucking in Beloit KS. Not sure if I am in the right place, but I have QB online and I am in a pickle with undeposited funds. I have cleared the account to the best of my ability, however, there are several deposits that I can't correct. There is an "R" in the checked column and I can't remove it no matter what I do. I am in the accountant mode, but nothing helps. How do I fix this?

You're definitely in the right place for help, @dunstanwastesol.

I appreciate the details. Closed books prevent you from performing changes to your past transactions. Hence, I recommend editing the closing date.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in as primary admin or company admin in QuickBooks Online.
  2. Proceed to the Gear icon.
  3. Select Account and Settings.
  4. Go to the Advanced tab.
  5. On the Accounting section, click on the Edit icon.
  6. Select Save and Done.

After editing the closing date, we can now start unreconciling individual transactions. Please note that this action can affect your accounts, making them unbalanced so I recommend checking with your accountant before making further changes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the left navigation panel, then select Bookkeeping or Accounting.
  2. Select Chart of accounts.
  3. Choose the account with the reconciled transaction, then click on View register.
  4. Click on the transaction.
  5. In the checkmark column, click on the box with "R" until it appears blank.
  6. Select Save then Close.
