Let's check your preferences to make sure they are set to show a certain amount of days in advance and not the same day. Here's how:
- Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences.
- In the left pane, click on Reminders.
- Go to the Company Preferences tab at the top.
- Review the list of activities (e.g., "Bills to Pay," "Invoices Due," "Checks to Print").
- In the Remind Me column, ensure you have a specific number of days entered for each item you want a future reminder for.
- If the number is 0, you will only see the item when it is due or past due.
- For upcoming items to appear, this number needs to be 1 or more (e.g., 5 days in advance).
- Also confirm that the option selected is Show Summary or Show List, and not Don't Remind.
- Click OK to save the changes
