You need to upgrade your data on QB Desktop 2015, 2019, and finally 2021 or 2022 before converting it to QBO. Contact us in private and we may share the trial code for those versions if required.
Glad to have you here in the Community, @Watch_Guys. Let me help you migrate your data from QuickBooks Desktop to your QuickBooks Online account.
You'll be prompted with this error once your browser takes time to load the pages you've opened like QuickBooks Online. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this issue and get you back on track.
First, let's open QuickBooks on a private window. This window helps the page load faster as it will not store any file history. If it works, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. A piled-up cache can cause some unexpected issues on a browser.
You can also use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari.
Please let me know how this troubleshooting step works on your end.
Thank you for replying. Unfortunately my problem occurs much earlier in the process. I am unable to even begin the upload of data because Quickbooks 2012 immediately gives me an error when I attempt to "Export Company File to Quickbooks Online." It does first check the file to be sure it's ready to upload, and I get an "OK." The program them says "You’ll need to update your software to access your Intuit Account." When I click that link it immediately gives an error. saying I need to change my browser from Windows Explorer. And that message itself has "runtime errors."
Can I get past this roadblock?

May I know if you're trying to migrate your data from QuickBooks Desktop 2012 to your QuickBooks Online Accountant version?
If so, since your QuickBooks Desktop version is outdated, you may need to use an upgraded or latest version of the software. But no worries, you can download a free trial version and use it in transferring your files.
First off, we'll need to create a backup file to make sure that the data will be saved before upgrading. To get started, let's perform the following steps to back up your company file:
I've got you an article for your reference: Create a Backup of your Company File.
Once completed, you can download a free trial account of the most updated version of QBDT, then restore the backup file.
Once everything is all set, you can now import your QuickBooks Desktop company file to QuickBooks Online. Here's how:
For further guidance about the process, here's a guide: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I've enclosed some articles below to learn more about things that you can export and import in the program:
If I can be of any additional assistance, please don't hesitate to tag me in the comment section.

You won't be able to convert data from QBD 2012 as I mentioned earlier. Utilize the trial codes to upgrade your version or purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
