I don't know how to make a new template for different clients
Hi there, paul225.
Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community. I'll be providing details about templates in QuickBooks Online and how it functions in the program. Then, to ensure you can use a custom form so you're able to apply it to your sales entries.
When using features in QuickBooks Online, you'll have to set up preferences within the program so you can begin utilizing it. That said, I recommend creating first a template by going to the Custom Form Styles so you can start applying the different custom styles to your clients. Please know that this element is only available for invoices, estimates, and sales receipts if you're using QuickBooks Essential. Then, for the Plus version, you can add creating custom fields for purchase orders.
Here's how:
Then, you can now begin with the layout and the design. As you make changes, you'll see a preview of the changes in the template. You can open this article to see the steps on how to finish the process: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
However, If you're unable to see the Custom Form Styles option, it could be due to a cache full of history and temp files. I recommend logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:
If it works in incognito, you'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to view steps on how you can email or print various sales forms: Email or print multiple invoices and sales forms.
Let me know if there's anything else you need help with custom style, paul225. I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!
I tried using an incognito method and I still do not see the custom form item. Please help!
