User Profile Differences

My company uses the Desktop (Enterprise for Contractors) version of QuickBooks. I have 2 users with the exact same profile. When editing a vendor's information, one can see the "Gen Liability Expires" and "Workers Comp Expires" fields on the "Additional Info" tab, while the other cannot. What would be causing this discrepancy? I need both of them to be able to see the fields.

Hello there, @djones_digllc.

We can utilize the Custom Fields feature to add the Work Comp Expires and Gen Liability Expires. The steps below ensure to record the Gen Liability Expires, and Workers Comp Expires on the other vendor's profile.

  1. Go to the Vendors menu.
  2. Choose Vendor Center
  3. Double click the vendor's name.
  4. Tick the Additional Info tab.
  5. Tap the Define Fields button.
  6. Enter the info in the Label column and place a checkmark for Vend column.
  7. Then, Hit OK.

To learn more about Workers' Compensation, you can always read through these article for additional insights.

If you have other questions about entering or managing vendor information in QuickBooks, just them right away. I'll do my best to respond and help you as soon as possible. Take care always.
