Using API to create Purchase Order, but the Purchase Order Number is disappearing when I open and then save the record

Instead of displaying "Purchase Order xxxx saved" (where xxxx is the Purchase Order Number) upon saving the record, I am seeing "Purchase Order $xxx.xx saved" (where $xxx.xx is the Total for the Purchase Order record).

 

What could be causing the Purchase Order Number to disappear from the record?  Even when querying for the same Purchase Order record, the 'docnumber' value is not being returned in the API response.

Let's try saving the purchase order on an incognito window, ttom1.

 

We can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

If it works, we can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. We can also switch to a different supported browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge as alternative.

Hi Adrian,

 

This doesn't appear to be a cache-related issue.

 

I should clarify that we are creating the Purchase Order via integration using the available APIs.  The record is getting created with appropriate related Lines, but when we then go to view the Purchase Order record and attempt to subsequently save it, this issue is occurring (Purchase Order Number disappearing).

 

Any other insight into this?

Thanks for following up with the Community, ttom1. I appreciate you performing Adrian_A's troubleshooting steps.

 

Since your purchase order number's still disappearing from its record and it doesn't appear to be a browser-related issue, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

 

They can be reached while you're signed in.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help (?) icon.
  2. Choose Contact Us.
  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.
