Buy nowThe tab that shows that the invoices are viewed/how many times viewed and a time stamp of when viewed... is that showing only when the customer clicks and views the invoice or is it also showing when I have viewed the invoice through quickbooks?
From my experience and testing the number of views includes all views by anyone, including your Quickbooks users.
QuickBooks Online has a feature that lets you know if a customer has viewed the emailed invoice, QHVAC.
The Invoice activity section in QuickBooks Online tracks the number of times an invoice is viewed. Please know that viewing or opening invoices within QBO will not count as viewed. Only views done by opening the emailed sales form will appear in the said section.
Furthermore, the timestamp includes all views by anyone who receives the invoice, including those added in the CC and BCC fields.
Additionally, QBO has functionality that gives you tools to create personalized and professional-looking sales forms. You can refer to this article to learn how: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Is there a way to see specifically who viewed it such as what email address?
The old viewed invoices indicated who viewed it. Can we have that back?
I understand how essential it is to have the ability to see the invoice, specifically who viewed it, @JDK043024.
At this time, the new layout doesn't have an option to see what specific email address has viewed the invoices you have sent in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
For now, I'll take note of your feedback to help improve our service. Also, you may personally send this product suggestion to our software engineers to have this feature back in the program. Let me show you how:

The new changes to this tool are not an improvement. This functione was visible from several area in QBO and now you have a very limited way to view this information.
This function is a very useful tool and needs features added not features taken away. It would be useful to have the ability to run an invoice activity report daily as well.
Not being able to prove that my client viewed an invoice is actually a handicap, not an improvement. The old format allowed me to enforce late payment policies. Please bring that back.
Super important to see WHO has viewed the email. This is causing a lot of problems right now.
We're having a ton of issues with this too! We have customers telling us the invoice (which is marked as viewed multiple times) was never received. In most cases, it is extremely unlikely it was viewed by our own organization, as they are automatic recurring invoices, but we can't prove that... Very annoying!!
Hello, @awalik. The situation with customers claiming they haven't received invoices, especially when they show as viewed, can be perplexing. Let me help you resolve this issue.
It's important to note that an invoice will be marked as Viewed if the emailed invoice is carbon-copied to your company email and you open the email.
If the status still shows as Viewed but you haven't opened the email, you can advise your customers to check their spam and junk folders for the invoices.
If it's confirmed that the invoices weren't delivered, there may be a cache-related issue causing the discrepancy in the invoice status. If this is the case, you and your customers can perform some troubleshooting steps. First, use a private or incognito window to rule this out.
Here are the shortcut keys:
Next, log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and resend the invoices. If it works, clear your browser's cache to remove the webpage data causing the issue. If a private browser doesn't work, use other installed supported browsers.
