We have several price rules set up for specific customers and products/services. Has anyone else had issues with these price rules not loading correctly on invoices?

The price rules are set up with individually selected customers and products/services. However, when an invoice is created for one of these customers and the product/service has a price rule, the price doesn’t reflect the rule. Instead, it shows the default pricing for the product/service. This requires multiple people to review invoices for accurate pricing, which makes the price rules almost pointless. The users restart QuickBooks daily and check for updates weekly. Has anyone found a fix for this?

We've heard your sentiments, Denise108. I completely understand how important it is to reflect the pricing rules accurately when creating your invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Your concerns matter, and we're here to help you with this process.

First, it's important to note that when the Multicurrency feature is activated, price rules will not apply to your invoices. In the meantime, I recommend providing feedback to our Product Engineers, as this allows them to review your suggestion and consider implementing it in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Type in your product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.

Moreover, to handle price changes on your invoices, consider setting up recurring transactions. Let me guide you through the steps.

  1. Go to the Gear icon and click All lists.
  2. Hit Recurring Transactions, then New.
  3. Choose Invoice and click OK.
  4. Fill in important information for your template.
  5. Once done, click Save template.
  6. Create your invoice.

However, if your multicurrency is turned off, I recommend contacting QuickBooks Customer Support directly. Their team can thoroughly examine your account internally, identify the root cause of the issue using specialized tools, and initiate an investigation if necessary.

Here's an article for detailed information about their support schedule: QuickBooks Online Support.

Additionally, you can create bank rules in QuickBooks Online to organize your financial records, making it easier to track specific expenses and generate accurate financial reports.
