When exporting Payroll Online to the desktop the import completes but returns error messages and files do not show in the Quickbooks desktop version Can anybody help??

You'll have to go to a different process so you can move your data from QuickBooks Online to Desktop, dhdmdpc.

 

What specific error are you getting when trying to transfer your file?

 

Furthermore, there are information that may not be included during the moving process. You'll want to check how your data converts and what data doesn't convert in QuickBooks. Please go through this article: Limitations When You Convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

 

You'll also want to make sure that you've configured Internet Explorer's security for successful export and import. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. From the Command Bar, select Tools and choose Internet Options.
  3. Within Internet Options, choose the Security tab.
  4. Add *.intuit.com to trusted sites.
  • Click Trusted Sites.
  • Within the Trusted sites window, un-check Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.
  • In the Add this website to the zone field, type: *.intuit.com

      5. Close the Trusted sites window.

      6. Uncheck Enable Protected Mode.

      7. Close Internet Explorer.

 

Once you've closed Internet Explorer, let's run QuickBooks Desktop and Internet Explorer in Administrator Mode. Here's how:

  1. Use Internet Explorer to log into your QBO account.
  2. Once logged into the account and on the Dashboard, you'll copy and paste the link provided into the URL of your browser: https://c30.qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt
  3. Hit the Enter button.
  4. Your web page will redirect now to the Export Data screen.

You will need to export it in the format QBO into your desktop and then add transactions on your QB desktop. When you add/ approve transactions on your desktop version, you will see an XML notification for each transaction added and okay button must be clicked
