When using advanced inventory fulfillment, can not change SO status when mistake was made

Just upgraded to Quickbooks Enterprise with Advanced Inventory

Employee made a mistake on a SO during customer fulfillment and marked it as shipped.

Called support and they said only way to fix is to delete the SO are reenter it.

What?  This is the stupidest design I have ever hear of.  You can't correct a mistake!

This is why every business ditches QB as soon as they can afford it.

I hear your sentiment, psbryant58. I wish you didn't have to go through this trouble.

Mistakes can happen when creating sales orders. While you may be able to edit a sales order if changes need to be made, in your case, you must delete or void them to ensure they do not affect your inventory or reports.

We'll show you how to delete, void, and restore a sales order. To delete a sales order, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Sales Orders, then select Orders.
  2. Choose which sales order you want to delete.
  3. Click More actions
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Yes, Delete the Order.

Once deleted, it can't you can't undo it. On the other note, you can still view the order to help you recreate it. Please see this article for the detailed steps and additional information: Delete or void a sales order in QuickBooks Commerce.

When using advanced inventory fulfillment, can not change SO status when mistake was made

This is using a sledge hammer to fix a problem that needs a pocket screw driver.

Sales orders are non-posting, so I don't see how they could possibly impact inventory.

It is just bad engineering and design by Intuit, please don't give users these stupid solutions in the future.  I have used QB Enterprise for over 10 years, and fully know how to delete a transaction.

When I call support, I end up teaching your tier 1 techs how the system works.  These little stupid issues are why people leave QB.  It tarnishes the brand . Giving us "we feel your pain, but nothing can be done" response makes it worse.
