When using the Spreadsheet Sync to sync invoices, I am having to manually type any numerical entries in the product/services column for it to sync. Any suggestions?

I have already tried to change the format to text, copy and paste values but it still does not work. Note: I have used this for several months and it worked perfectly by just copy and pasting from an excel spreadsheet. This started 2 weeks ago.

Let’s work together to address the syncing issues you've encountered with Spreadsheet sync for your invoices, jmarcucci. Here are some troubleshooting steps we can take to help resolve the problem.

Browser-related issues can cause unusual behavior in web applications. To troubleshoot this, I suggest accessing your account through a private browsing window. This method can help us identify if the problem is related to the browser's cache.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

After switching to a private browser, attempt to sync your invoices again. If the issue is resolved without manually typing numerical entries, clear the browser's cache to optimize performance. Alternatively, consider using another supported browser.

If the problem persists, I recommend contacting our Live Support team for further assistance. They can provide additional troubleshooting steps to resolve this. You can reach them by clicking this link: Live Support for QuickBooks Online Advanced.

I'll share these resources that effectively address questions and resolve common errors with Spreadsheet Sync.

The spreadsheet sync does not use an internet browser.  It uses Excel.

The spreadsheet sync does not require the use of an internet browser.  When selected it opens the Microsoft Excel program on my computer and uses the QB extension that is already attached.

Why would a customer have to clarify to an Intuit employee the environment where spreadsheet sync is taking place?  You should know the environment better than any of us.

@BigRedConsulting  Didn't you know?

The cache is the root of all QB evil.

...

Kind of annoyed that that statement is only a little bit hyperbolic.
