Where can I purchase Quickbooks for Mac Desktop?

If you're lucky, you can find used licenses for QBD 2021 on the marketplace. There is no one-time license for the QBD 2022 or 2023. They changed the product name to QBD Mac Plus to indicate that it is an annual subscription license.

Is it possible to download Desktop for Mac 2021, then hit the "purchase additional licenses" button via the software?  It's greyed out, but I do not have a "business" to open in QB as I am not currently with the client.

You may only allow to purchase additional seats if your license is activated (able to log into CAMPS as Primary Contact) and is still supported (i.e. version 2021 or later).

I tried you recommendation and was unable to upgrade/purchase QB 21,22 or 23. The chat person “QB for Mac desktop cannot be find through online due to a lot of mistaken purchase of the product”. I’ve bought QB all by myself since it came out, actually when I had to run parallels on my Mac since there wasn’t a Mac version. Can you direct me to the site to make the purchase/upgrade? I promise I’m able to push a “buy” button and enter my credit card info-all by myself!

You can visit our  official QuickBooks website to purchase or upgrade your software. Once you are on the website, you can select the version of QuickBooks you would like to purchase or upgrade to and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. Here's how you could do it:

1. Go to the Downloads & Updates page.
2. Click the standard setup link.
3. Select the country, product , & version (2023).
4. Click the Search button.
5. Hit Download to get a new one or select Get the latest updates to get latest release.
   
6. Restart your computer after installed successfully.

To activate QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, you will need to have your license and product number ready. You can find these numbers on the packaging or in the email you received when you purchased QuickBooks. Intuit won't sell  2021 to you. Just don't buy from Mercari. I just bought QB Desktop for Mac 2020 and it its unusable. They sent me a piece of paper with a google drive link in it that is so many characters it's impossible to type. It took me more than 72 hours to request help and I'm told by Mercari my time to provide feedback to them has expired. I think it's been less than a week. Perhaps Mercari believes everyone works on its schedule. I don't recall seeing anything about the feedback window expiring. Plus,Mercari sent me a link to communicate with the seller. The link didn't work. Haven't been able to find an installer on Intuit's website, as the seller advised. Last I spoke with Intuit, they advised 2021 was available somewhere but to be aware of scammers. Guess I just got scammed.

Which MacOS do you run? I can only find the original license of QBD 2019 for Mac (non subscription).

To save costs, you may consider using the trial version of QBD Windows for good to run on Parallels.

I'm running Safari on Ventura. I know some people like Parallels. I gave it up years ago. Too complicated. If I buy again, it will be QBD2023. I've been using Accountedge (owned by Acclivity GroupLLC), but there is no longer any support in the US. It's all in Australia now. My last AccountEdge Pro for Mac update was 2018 when they stopped offering software and support for Apple's latest OS. I'm running it on an old computer with OS10. It was the last OS AccountEdge supported.

You have to make a decision now. Otherwise, you may have to buy QBD 2024 next month for an additional $100.

Does anyone know if you can open a QB 2021 Mac desktop file on QB 2020 for Mac?  OR:

Can anyone tell me where to buy a license for QB 2021 for Mac?  I converted to QB Online and hate it.  I downloaded QB21 and have managed to get everything back up to date but now need to buy a license.  I've read that Mercari is a likely scam, but can't find it anywhere else.  There are some folks selling the 2020 version.  I'd even take the 2016 version as I also have that.  It's just a function of "downgrading" the file.....

At this time, opening data from higher to lower versions of QuickBooks isn't available. Moreover, QuickBooks Mac 2021 is being discontinued, and we do not offer licenses for its purchase. To open your data, I recommend finding an authorized retailer where you can purchase a license for the appropriate version of QuickBooks.
