Why am I getting this message while invoicing " An application error has occurred while processing your request" ?

I am also experiencing this issue, tried 2 different browsers, rebooted computer and still the same. 
I tried on the app on my phone and it seems to be working. Very frustrating though,

Currently, we have an ongoing investigation about getting this error when saving an invoice in QuickBooks Online. Rest assured that our engineers are doing their best to fix it as soon as possible.

 

I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support team so you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates on the investigation's status and be notified once it's been resolved. I've included the steps to contact support below. 

 

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select Talk to a Human.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and press Enter.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us to connect with our live support.
  6. Choose Get a callback.

I have some information about this application error. I'm here to help you sort this out, agrbs.

 

We didn't receive a report about this error. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. Sometimes, you'll experience this because of browser-related concerns. We can perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the problem. Use the shortcut keys below to access a private window (incognito):

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

 

When using incognito mode, this deletes cookies and browser history leaving your browser clean and easy to access any websites and error-free. After that, double-check if everything is already working fine. If so, go back to the main browser to clear its cache and delete some outdated files that might be the cause of the error. Otherwise, use a supported, up-to-date browser.

If you're using QB Self Employed, it is having issues.  QB is aware of it, despite what the boneheads here will tell you.  You can check the status page for updates.

Why am I getting this message while invoicing " An application error has occurred while processing your request" ?

Our records indicate that we're currently experiencing the same alert for QuickBooks Online, Weswav. I'd like to provide you with a current status update on the situation.

 

According to the latest log, our engineering team has initiated an investigation (INV-115524) about this error when creating invoices. This means they're actively working to identify the cause of the error and to implement a permanent solution.

 

In the meantime, we need to add you to the list of affected users so we can notify you as soon as the issue is resolved. 

 

For us to do that, please reach out to our support team directly through the chat or phone options available in your QuickBooks Online account. I'll share the steps on how you can contact them: 

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of QBO.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern.
  6. You can also provide INV-115524 as a reference number so they can immediately locate the investigations.
  7. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.
