Buy nowI'm getting a little tired of having to resize the app window on my PC every time I open QBO. Every update seems to break this. Right after the update, it stops remembering the size, and typically a few days later, there's another update that fixes it. As of last update (April 2025) it's broken again.
It is an annoying feature in QB that's for sure to constantly having to reformat the information you are looking at when going from item to item or screen to screen. In addition to that, I inadvertently hit something that has the Inventory List opening at half the screen. I have done everything that Quickbooks said to correct this and the fix doesn't stay in place. Just thought you'd like to know someone else experiences the same as you.
Hi, @Hawthorne-IS and @AndieAST7! I understand your frustration with the window size resetting after QBO app updates.
Just to clarify, the QuickBooks Online "desktop app" is designed for quick access to the web-based QBO, acting like a shortcut to the website. So, while it feels like a regular app, it's still displaying web content.
Because of this, your computer's operating system usually manages the window size. Restarting the app might help. You can also uninstall and re-install it, or contact us for further assistance.
