Why is QB Online running SO SLOW on Chrome? I have the latest software updates for Chrome, plenty of RAM, 1G internet speed, and cleared browser history.

Why is QB Online running SO SLOW on Chrome? I have the latest software updates for Chrome, plenty of RAM, 1G internet speed, and cleared browser history.

There has been a good number of people aske that lately.  And the answer from anyone and everyone working for QB is that it's running as it should, and is supposed to take forever and a day to load. (They have said 10 seconds is normal, without reading that some are having to wait a LOT longer than that).

Well, up until a few months ago, I've NEVER had QB lagging this bad, and NEVER had any function take 10 seconds to process, so doesn't make sense. Thanks for your input!

Intuit aims for QuickBooks Online's most-used pages to load within 10 seconds. We consistently monitor our systems to ensure we meet this goal.

 

Since you're already using Chrome, ensure you are using the latest release by going to the Chrome menu and selecting Help, then About Google Chrome.

 

I understand you've already performed some basic troubleshooting steps. To ensure everything is all good, I recommend performing it one more time since QBO is a web browser and the performance depends on your device's processing power, memory (RAM), and internet connection. Inadequacies in any of these areas can affect its performance. Ensure your system meets the basic requirements to identify the cause of slow performance: System requirements for QuickBooks Online.

 

If you've completed all troubleshooting steps and meet all requirements but still experience load times over 10 seconds, I recommend reaching out to our Support team for further assistance. Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Click either tab to get started: Assistant or Talk to Human.
