Hi pete27marine@out,

quickbooks intuit is a total scam
they hold money for as long as they can, when you receive payments through them you money is held for two weeks
they automatically start a scam bank account , well that is what they call it
they never asked me to open a account ,i was supposedly linked in to my real bank account
then the money is locked in , you cant use it for weeks
they send you a debit card , but can not charge more than certain amouints and can only take out a certain amount from a ATM only found at CVS how ghetto
las week i drove one hour to pick up parts and use the card to pay, founfd out embarressed that the card was blocked. knowing i had several thousands in the "account"'
after hours calling many phone numbers and chats they bounced me aroiund for days, they told me because i had to summit a photo Id eight months after starting to uise them
no one could help over 10 hours of phone calls and im still waiting for a solution or even one erturn phone call
if there was a location to walk into i would go there but there is no where to go , no one to call and they hold my money
total pieces of shiy scumbags
i pray and hope they and all thier family die a very slow extremely painful death of testicular and vaginal cancer
I'm doing everything i can to shut them down
starting law suits for starters and making numerous you tube videos
I have many many hours of footage
total total morons and scammers
THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO SHUT THEM DOWM ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This isn't the kind of experience that we want you to come across,
Whenever the payment status is Withheld, the system is still reviewing the transaction. When this happens, you'll get an email at the email address you use to sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
Stating in the email are specific steps to fix the issue. Usually, we ask for more info so we can complete our review.
Once we have everything, we can usually complete our review within 2 business days. After the review, we can finish processing the payment.
For more information about the process, you can check this reference: Why are my funds on hold?
Mention my name if there's anything that I can help with.
I sure wish I had read your text 2 days ago but QB kept locking me out....
complete total nightmnare
I was paid this week and now I can't get the money I need to go to the doctor and pay my bills. I spent 8 hours on the phone today and yesterday with obnoxious know it alls,
my money has been stolen, they are witholding it and it's illegal
also the other thing is they monitor what is said in these chats so much like a doctors review, most people won't see my complaint.
I will look for another kinder company to work with.
I have never dealt with such mean customer service in my life and I pay for this service.
Year ago Quickbooks was nice....
not any more
wow this just happened to me....
class action suit needed
They have taken my money by putting it into a bogus Quickbooks checking account which is probably one of their many operating accounts to pay salaries....
seriously....that's all you can say, this os probably not part of the main stream of articles for sure.
much like skeptical reviews for doctors.
This is not the first time QB has scammed me.
I guess whomever is in charge feels no guilt when they go to sleep at night
and why would they need to review a payment, just a bogus reply so they gain capitalize on the funds for their benefit
I agree. The company will screw you and there is no avenue to complain. Here is my story.
I noticed a charge of $37.19 for "Intuit-Quick Book- Ca". I never ordered this service so I ended up chatting with QuickBooks on line and stated that I never ordered QuickBooks; I went on Turbo Tax, and the link to Intuit, and could not find that the only product I have is TurboTax- nothing relating to Intuit on both sites.
The First response I got was on 8/4/2022 at 12.39 stating that :
"Thank you for submitting your request for a product refund. Your request will be reviewed and a decision will be communicated back to you via email within 5-7 business days..
Then I got another message at 1:38pm stating "Thank you for contacting Intuit. This is to inform you that your refund request has been reviewed. Upon checking on your account, we noticed that you have a monthly subscription which is outside the 60-day Money Back Guarantee Policy. Because of this, we are unable to complete your request. You may follow our support article on how to Cancel your QuickBooks subscription from within the application to prevent future charges. For additional assistance, feel free to visit our online support center at www.quickbooks.com/support.
Now this message (as with all inquiries to Turbo Tax or Intuit) responses) does not permit me to respond. So what to do? I follow the instructions and end up with the same result - no record of this product-so no way t cancel it.
Now the final straw, I get the following email at 1:44 om "We have reviewed your request for a refund. However, we are unable to complete the request since you are not listed as an authorized contact on the account. Should you wish to have your name listed as a contact, you may follow our support article on how to[https://Add, edit, and remove authorized user in My Account] Add, edit, and remove authorized user in My Account . You may then send another request for a refund.
For additional assistance, feel free to visit our online support center at www.quickbooks.com/support.
We appreciate your business and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
Adding insult to injury, this charge is in a card I cancelled.....and never gave the new card information to Intuit or Turbo Tax. So, here I stand.... billed on a card (that was never authorized with them) for a product I never ordered, on an account with respect to which I am characterized by them as an unauthorized user..... and no way to reach out for an explanation that does not lead to another dead end. I am cancelling my new card, and if I get charged on the new replacement with a new number I will go to the authorities.
QB is a ripoff. I've been a QB customer for 25 years. I bought a QB Desktop subscription for $524 in 10/22. Sales Rep Matt in the Philippines told me I'd get a $200 credit refund in two weeks. When none arrived, I called Customer Service. I talked to them two other times, for a total of 3 hours on the phone, regarding the $200 credit. I was told various BS, that the person 's phone they had to transfer me to was not working, that I'd get a phone call that afternoon, etc. I called them again & the rep said I wouldn't be getting any credit. Quickbooks is a ripoff company that cannot be trusted and has no integrity. The are so anxious to rip people off that 25 years of being a customer means nothing to them.
You have purchased a new license for QBD 2023 in October, correct? Then someone told you that you will get a partial refund of your payment (i.e only $200). Why don't you ask for a full refund (i.e $524)?
I don’t feel so bad now knowing that this didn’t only happen to me…. Someone was helping me make a paper trail for an business account quickbooks kept the money in pending… I never received the money &’ it caused issues. They say it’s in the terms &’ condition that they can take the money at any time…SCAMMMM, hope the same thing happens to anyone involved, the prayer dude said… bc y’all are trash… I sent small transactions to see if it was a scam &’ still got scammed… DO NOT USE THEM I hope they get sued &’ closed down &’ never able to open again… CROOKS
Oh yeah the amount was $5000 that they stole
something needs to be done about this company. This is a SUPER SCAMM and they just seem to be getting away with it without consequence. This is worthless software that they charge a premium price for and then they just keep taking more. I'M OUT !
P.S. I was a user of QB Desktop for many years and got very fond of it. When I had to switch over to QB Online the transfer screwed up all of my customer transactions and made my books completely unusable. I had to create a new company from scratch and start all over again. What a mess!
@MrJebec3 Part of why they are getting away with this all, is because not enough people are turning them in to the BBB and FTC. The more complaints filed, the better, don't you think?
Used to pay an annual fee for static desktop version. Price has doubled/no improvement in product. Add to this they now charge me per check I write. They are manual checks being handled by my bank not QB. Almost $100/month from what was $20/year.
Can you say "Captive Audience". I'll bet QB's P & L is looking pretty good since they increased fees for the same service by 400% in one year. There is nothing they can tell me to justify simply bolstering their P & L. Looking for other options to this fat cat.
If you are working solo on a desktop (PC or Mac) to manage your book and only need basic features, you should explore a free program. You can use the program for as long as you like, use all the features and enter as much data as required. There are no time limits, no usage limits, no ads (at this time). This program is quite popular in Asia and Europe.
and the $100/month to write checks through my bank not quick books?
A company of thieves. Ridiculous price increases on Desktop Pro and PAYROLL over 500 a year. News flash-- small businesses are already suffering. In order to process payroll I had to get an update and loose 6 months of payment from my previous purchase. Thieves
I RECOMMENDING MY CLIENTS GET OUT OF QBO IMMEDIATELY
Don't forget to ask your clients to convert their data to QB Desktop file and they can use the trial version to access historical data for good.
