Attributed payment to wrong account

Hello. I am very new to Quickbooks desktop and made a mistake that I don't know how to fix. We accept digital payments through Quickbooks. One particular payment just showed up as "E-customer," and I needed to assign it to a customer in order to receive it. I assigned it to the wrong customer. I can't figure out how to correct this; if I find the payment in "Receive payments," the customer's name is in light grey, so I don't have the option of editing it there. Is there some way for me to edit the transaction to the correct customer?

I can route you to our Merchants Services Support Team, so you'll be fully assisted in deleting the wrong customer payment. This way, you'll be able to assign it to the correct customer.

 

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to Contact Payments Support.
  2. Get the number under "QuickBooks Online Payments & Merchant Service Center."
