Hi there, Long-time desktop user and hating transition to Quickbooks Online
I am trying to get all my autopay customers setup again as they don't transfer in the conversion. I read the online help from Intuit and i understand it. All my invoices are due on the 1st of the month. The instructions (link below) state "Auto payments deduct from your customer 3 days before the due date of the invoice" I do not want this to happen. Is there a way I can change this or the client can change it when they complete their enrollment? I spent 90 minutes on support chat and gave up. Why would i want to penalize a client who sets up auto pay by pulling the money 3 days before it is actually due?

In this case, the auto payments were deducted from your customer three days before the due date because of the funding time to your bank. That way, the money will get deposited or posted to your bank the same day as your due date that's why it deducts three days before the due date.
The option to remove this process is currently unavailable. However, you can adjust the due date of your invoice so it will deduct on the specific date you want. Please be aware that if you make changes to the recurring template, it will cancel the auto pay that your customer set up. They will receive a cancelation email for future Autopay transactions.
You can only edit recurring transactions if your customer hasn't set up the auto-pay feature. Either way, you can delete or pause recurring transactions, and your customer can cancel the auto-pay by selecting the Manage payment link. You can go to the Can Autopay be canceled? section in this article for more details about the process: Set up Autopay for recurring invoices in QuickBooks Online.
