I'll help you update your bank account for QuickBooks Payments, carmen.
We can change the bank account QuickBooks deposits payments into every time you process credit card and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. However, please note that if you update the details after 3 PM PT, we'll deposit your payment(s) to the newly created the next business day. Otherwise, we'll put them in your old one.
QuickBooks can't deposit payments into these types of accounts. These will cause issues, rejections, or delays:
- PayPal
- Lines of credit
- Mutual fund
- Government
- Credit card checks
- Routing numbers used for wire transfers
- Paper draft
- Any non-transactional account
To make changes, I suggest accessing QuickBooks via a web browser. We're unable to do this using the mobile app or GoPayment.
Update standard deposit:
- Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and settings.
- Choose the Payments tab. In the Deposits section next to Standard Deposits, click Change bank.
- Hit Add new bank account.
- Enter the account and routing number you want to change to, and then select Save.
- Find the new one from the list and Verify.
- Add the two small amounts we have deposited to the new bank.
- Review the info and complete your request.
Update instant deposit:
- From the Gear icon, choose Account and settings.
- Select Payments and go to Deposit accounts.
- Click Change to edit your instant deposit info. If you switch from your debit card to your QuickBooks Checking debit card, select the 0% fee option.
- Hit Save and then Done.
Once done, QuickBooks will deposit customer payments from online invoices and other sources into the new one.
