Check Stub PDF After Printing Physical Check

Hello,

I am looking for a way to help streamline our check payment process. Currently, when we print a physical check, we take a copy of the check stub, staple it to the vendor invoice, and file that away.

We are essentially looking for a way to do this digitally and as automated as possible.

Is there a way to have a copy of the check stub saved via PDF automatically once the check is printed? Or a way to merge the vendor invoice PDF with the check stub PDF once printed?

Hopefully I am explaining this clearly. The end goal is to have a folder on our accounting drive that has a queue of invoices to pay, then once the check is cut and sent, we have a "paid" folder which includes the invoice + check stub.

Thank you for your time and suggestions.

Check Stub PDF After Printing Physical Check

Hi there, @XPDBryce.

I understand the importance of having a PDF copy of the check stub automatically saved once the check is printed in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Let me provide information about this feature.

Currently, the feature to have automatically saved through PDF after printing the check is unavailable. As a workaround, I suggest looking for a third-party app.

For now, I recommend sending a feature request to our Product Development team to help improve your experience with QBO and get this feature considered.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Help option.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Select the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Enter your comments or feedback suggestions.
  5. Click the Send Feedback button.

For more details about the feedback process, you can check this article:  Submit feedback.

I will also include a helpful article that guides you in troubleshooting problems when you can't print, email, or save as a PDF: Fix PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.

Please leave a comment below, if you have further concerns about printing checks or other QBDT-related concerns. I'll be here to assist you.
