Denied Merchant Services

We are trying to migrate to another version of Quickbooks Online. When we tried to setup the Merchant Services we got denied. We have been using Merchant Services for years on the other QB version. Can not get anyone to tell Us why we were denied and we are sure it is just a mistake in the application. All the customer service people try but they all say they can not see what the "back office" sees and does. I understand that fraud is bad but there is no fraud here. Just trying to move from one version to another. Can anyone tell me how to talk to someone to figure this out?

Denied Merchant Services

I understand your situation with setting up Merchant Services in the new version of QuickBooks Online. It can be frustrating when you encounter obstacles during a migration process, especially when you've been using the service for years without issue, MLaBJr. I; 'm here to share insight about this.

If you already have an existing merchant account, there's no need for you to set it up again. Instead, you can sign in or link merchant service to QuickBooks Online (QBO). This way, your customers can pay for their invoices online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and click  Account and Settings.
  2. Select Payments.
  3. In the Existing Account section, click Connect or Link Merchant Service.
  4. Choose the QuickBooks Payment you wish to link.  Then select Connect.
  5. Review the account info and make sure it's accurate. If everything looks good, select Connect.

You can check this article for more information on how you can manage your QuickBooks Payments account: Manage your account information using the Merchant Service Center.

I'll also add the QuickBooks Payments FAQ as additional information.

If you have any other follow-up questions about payments, let me know by adding a comment below. I'm more than happy to help. Have a good one!

@Furkan Bayoglu

How did you receive the payment but your QB Payments account was inactive?

Are you B2B or B2C?

Appreciate you for posting this concern, Furkan. Allow me to share some information regarding payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since you don't have an SSN, you'll need to use a third-party payment processor to enable businesses to accept online payments. To find such payment apps, go to the Apps tab on the MENU page in QBO and search for available apps that allow online payments without requiring SSNs.

Furthermore, you can check out this article to learn how to manually record your sales and fees: Record third-party sales and fees in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any questions regarding payments or any other QuickBooks-related queries, please don't hesitate to comment below. I'll respond as soon as possible. Stay safe.
