I am new to QB and QB Payment System. On 7/9/21, a vendor paid me $19k using QB bank transfer method. I took 5 business days to process and be deposited to my Bank of America business account. On 7/23/21, the same vendor paid $36k. As of 7/26/21, the status still indicates “delayed”.
If you’re a small business, I do not recommend using their payment system. QB customer service will not be able to help you. The “delay” is normal for “new” accounts. You’re better off providing your ACH information to your vendors for faster processing or using VENMO or Zelle.
Is there a workaround to this?!
Hi there, @Teslavegas.
This isn't the kind of impression we want you to experience about the deposit process using QuickBooks Payments. I'm here to provide some enlightenment about the process.
I know the delays are painful, but we're obligated to protect the interests of all parties involved in the payment process. That said, the initial set of batches will be delayed for up to five business days while we conduct a review on them. Rest assured, funds will be deposited into your bank account once we've fully verified everything.
If the delay exceeds five business days, I highly suggest contacting our QuickBooks Payment Support Team. This way, they can further check on the status and give you the estimated date when it'll be deposited. They can also help improve your deposit speed.

Please let me know if you need clarification about the deposit process for customer payments. I'll be standing by for your response.
I contacted customer support and this is the response:
“My name is ____\ , with Intuit QuickBooks Online Technical Support. I wanted to send a quick thank you for contacting us today, and should you need to call us back, your case number from speaking with me today is [removed]. On this call we verified that your transaction that processed the 23rd is showing a batch date of the 29th and should be in your account by the 30th .”
It’s the 30th, and your company has held the $36k for 6 business days. I cannot believe you allow small businesses to experience this difficulty in receiving VERIFIED payments.
The response from QuickBooks customer service is a joke.. I am having the same problem, for the first time. . I have been using QB payments for a couple of years. I chatted with them for almost 40 minutes. they told me there was nothing they could do.. it is all automated and I just have to wait. They did tell me that my funds were in delayed status. I said really.. that is brilliant as that is why I started the chat.. I was looking for help finding out what the issue was. they ended the chat by telling me to keep checking the status. I am absolutely shocked by the reply. I don't know why I would be.
