Hi, billing119. Since the payment has already been returned to the client and removed from your bank account, create a check that affects Accounts Receivable, then unlink the original payment from the invoice (making it a credit). Here's how:
- Navigate to the +Create button, and click Check.
- Enter the necessary details, and ensure to select Accounts Receivable (A/R) in the CATEGORY field.
- Once done, click Save and close.
After that, you can now link it to the original payment by going through All apps > Customers Hub > Customers > select the customer > click View/Edit for the original payment under the Transactions List > Select the check, then Record and close.
Lastly, match the original invoice to the Bank feed chargeback transaction to keep your records accurate.
