edit the bank account information that I register when closing an invoice for a payment received

We'll make sure you can edit your bank information for receiving invoice payments to keep your account updated, Telluride53.

You can change the bank account QuickBooks deposits payments into every time you process credit card and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. Please note that if you do it after 3 PM PT, we'll deposit your payment(s) to the new one the next business day. If you processed payments before 3 PM PT, we'll put them in your old account.

To update your standard deposit account, here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks mobile app, QuickBooks Money, or GoPayment in a web browser.
  2. Go to Settings and then select Account and settings.
  3. Select the Payments tab. In the Deposits section next to Standard Deposits, select Change bank.
  4. Choose Add new bank account.
  5. Enter the account and routing number of the bank account you want to change to and then click Save.
  6. Find the new bank account from the list and select Verify.
  7. Enter the two small amounts we have deposited to the new bank account.
  8. Review the bank account info and complete your request.

If you want to edit an instant deposit account, please see the QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks mobile app, QuickBooks Money, or GoPayment dropdown section in this article for the complete guide: Change the deposit bank account for QuickBooks Payments.

Also, would you want to know how long it takes to get customer payments in your bank account after you process them? You can check out this article for the complete details: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.
