How can I change Online QBs to Desktop QBs？Does anyone can use Desktop QBs in Mainland China? Do you need VPN to access to the Destop version?

Do you need to migrate data from QB Online Global version for China to QB Desktop US version?

You may have 2 ways:

1. Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Online, TPImporter for Desktop

You will install QB Desktop at your own premise (i.e LAN environment). You may need a 3rd party solution to access your company file(s) by internet connection.

You may consider those 2 ways IF you need to migrate data from your existing QBO account. But if you prefer to start from scratch on QB Desktop, you may ignore to migrate data for sure.

I am more concerned about the internet and if I need a VPN to use the Desktop version. Right now when I get access to the Online QB and the internet is slow. I asked QB assistant before, and they said maybe I need a VPN to get access to Desktop QBs. And how abou the price?

To access QB Desktop company file by internet (e.g RDP, remote desktop) is an additional option, not the mandatory requirement. You may install the trial license of QBD 2021 to make sure. Last week we help 2 companies in Hong Kong upgrading their QB Desktop version from 2008 to 2021.

They offer 4 editions (i.e Pro, Premier, Enterprise, and Accountant). What kind of business do you run? How many user license do you need?

Can you send me the link of the trial license of Desktop QBs? We only need one user license currently with the Accountant version. Thanks a lot.

They don't offer any trial version for QBD Premier nor QBD Accountant. What we can say is QBD Enterprise is QBD Premier without the Advanced Module, and no Accountant Toolbox. You may purchase a one time license of QBD 2021 US (Premier) Accountant for 1 user worth USD 850 or less.
