How can you run a card with a 000 cvv code? My system will not allow it and says "invalid cvv". This is the third customer we have had with that cvv code. These were all over the phone orders so manual entries.
Thanks for providing us in-depth details of your credit card payments concern, susancakes.
All transactions where the credit card number is keyed will require a card verification value (CVV) to process. The CVV for Visa or MasterCard is the last three digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the back of the card. CVV for American Express appears as a separate 4-digit code printed on the front of your card.
If you entered the correct CVV code and the same thing happens again, I'd suggest contacting the QuickBooks Payments Support Phone Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and help you with this one. To ensure we address your concern, our representatives are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturdays, PST. After 3 online chats that passed me from one to another, and 3 different phone calls we were finally told that the customer "must be scamming us" and to request a different card. WOW. Great customer service Intuit. :( Had to call the customer back and tell her we could not take her payment because the system would not allow us to use 000 as the CVV... she even texted us a picture of her card proving that it was real.
@susancakes , there is information all over Google, about the 000 CVV codes. It seems to be recommended that the customer request a new card.
Here is just one thing I found about it.
