At this time, QuickBooks Online doesn't offer a native barcode scanning feature. One option that you may wish to consider is using a third-party application, which can integrate with the software. You can browse available apps at the following link: QuickBooks Apps.
I can see how having the ability to natively enable barcode scanning in the software would be beneficial for your company and others. I'm going to submit feedback, which is sent to the Product Development Team for consideration when adding new features.
