You'll have to turn off debit card payment in the Payments Preferences.
Follow these steps:
- From the File menu, select Setup Interview.
- Tap the Payments tab.
- Under Payments Preferences, hit Edit settings.
- Uncheck Accept debit/ATM card payments.
- Press Done.
You can then proceed to process the sale, and this time ensure to press Credit so you can process a debit card as such. It won't ask for a pin.
Don't forget to enable the debit card option again by following the same steps as above, but putting a checkmark on the Accept debit/ATM card payments option this time.
