Hello, using QB Desktop. I'm in the Pay Bills window, at bottom is the payment info section. I can select the correct account, there is a dropdown for Method and it shows only Check and Credit Card. I want to use a debit card but it's not in the list. I went to Lists > Customer and Vendors Profile list > Payment Methods and Debit Card is already in the list but not showing in the Bill Pay Method dropdown. How to add it? Thanks.
QuickBooks does not yet include the concept of a Debit card. Too new-fangled for it.
Instead, choose the Check type and then enter Debit or similar for the check number.
So for our company, we have some payments that are automated and charge directly to our bank account. For those I would enter the bill and then go under "Pay Bill", select the bank account and then "Assign check number". Once the next screen pops up I would enter "DM" (debit memo) as the check number. Maybe that could work for you?
