How to Batch Select multiple Time Charges to include in a single Invoice

Hello,

I want to select multiple Time Charge records and include them in a single invoice without having to manually re-enter the associated data (especially the Memo data).

On the attached image (you may have to download it to view it), I've selected five Time Charges that I want to include as separate Services on a single invoice. However, when I click Create Invoice, only one of the five selected charges are brought into the invoice.

How do I bring multiple Time Charges into an Invoice without having to manually re-enter the data?

Thanks!

Chuck

How to Batch Select multiple Time Charges to include in a single Invoice

Hello, czissman.

I appreciate the screenshots you shared with us. In QuickBooks Online, adding multiple billable time to the invoice needs to be done via the + New icon. The transactions will pop up, and click add to include the billable charges transactions to the invoice.

I'll show you how to do it:

  1. Click the + New Icon, select Invoice.
  2. Select the Customer.
  3. Press Add. Then Save and send once done.

You can see more information about this process in the articles I've included below.

Keep me posted if you have any other concerns or further questions. I'll always have your back.

How to Batch Select multiple Time Charges to include in a single Invoice

Thanks Arlene!

The issue is that I was in the "new invoices" view, which doesn't support that function.

The QBO support agent that I engaged with through your online chat function about this a few days ago simply told me it couldn't be done. I couldn't imagine that was the case and I'm glad I came here.

Appreciate your expertise and help!

Thanks Eileen! That did the trick. The problem was that I was in the new invoices view, and it can't be done from there, it must be done from the old view.

I engaged a few days ago with an online QBO support agent and they told me it simply couldn't be done at all, which I just couldn't imagine being the case, so I'm really glad I came here.

Appreciate your expertise and help!
