I have QuickBooks Bill Pay Elite. When it I go to schedule a payment it says "Payment can't be scheduled contact us for more information"

I have QuickBooks Bill Pay Elite. When it I go to schedule a payment it says "Payment can't be scheduled right now, contact us for help" I have talked to so many QBO customer service agents, none of them can figure out why. The last rep told me this is known problem with the Bill pay switch over and they are working on it. Anyone else have this problem? It is a real hinderance to not be able to pay bills!

Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser. If the same error message persists, consider to signup for a Melio account for fee to connect with QBO for the time being.

Why is this still not resolved?  This is insane.  Received this error message today when attempting to make first bill payment online and the customer support indicated I should (a) try to lower the payment amount or (b) get a new bank from my vendor.  Are you kidding me?  This is extremely frustrating.

I received an email from customer service telling me this issue was resolved, even though nothing had actually changed and I still could not process payments. I ended up cancelling my Bill Pay Elite membership and switched and started using Melio, which has been great, zero problems (and they don't charge for ACH payments). I got an email last week from QBO that told me on Dec. 4th they are discontinuing use of Melio for processing payments and I have to start using QuickBooks Bill pay. So, I this time I just signed up for Bill Pay Premium and it works most of the time. I still get errors here and there. I don't dare subscribe to Elite again, because my issue never got resolved and they would not even recognize that it was still an issue.

They will replace the Billpay feature power by Melio to Intuit Billpay. But I would recommend to have or keep your free Melio account to integrate with QBO as the backup option. I learned that while Melio doesn't have proper 1099 reporting capabilities, it still offers more features (e.g. approval process, payment of multiple bills for the same vendor).

That don't help if you can't pay your bills is this fixed because I'm having same issue

I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case about this one. We can log in to your account using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites. Here are the useful shortcut keys you can use to access one:
 

  • Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome A63.PNG
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox A64.PNG and Microsoft Edge A65.PNG
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari A66.PNG

 

 

Once done, create a scheduled bill payment with QuickBooks Bill Pay again. Just follow the steps and details in this article: Learn about QuickBooks Bill Pay. Then, go to Schedule bill payments with QuickBooks Bill Pay section.

 

If it works, return to your default browser and clear its cache. Every so often the cache becomes overwhelmed with older data which can potentially cause viewing and performance issues. Clearing it will refresh the system, and you'll be able to work with a clean slate. Switching to another compatible one to help rectify the issue.

There are people that are having trouble with this if you will check where i posted this at.  Still not working give me the same error in icgonito window.  I wasn't having any trouble until i switched over to Elite and that seems what everyone is complaining about.  I need to pay bills i can't.

This is still not working,  i went into the icognito window and still giving me same error.  I didn't have any trouble until i switched to Bill Elite.  I need to pay bills if i have to switch to Melio i will.

Here's how: 

 

  1. On your QBO account, click on Help (?).
  2. Select the Search tab, then click on Contact Us.
  3. Enter the concern, then select Continue.
  4. Click on Chat.

Moreover, you can also email receipts and bills within the program.

I've been having this issue since I subscribed for QuickBooks Bill Pay back in the end of September. It would work for few days, then I wasn't able to schedule payments for a day or 2. Then it would work again and the following week I couldn't schedule payments again. On and off. I've called QB support over 10 times and tried everything, nothing fixes the issue. Today I cannot schedule payments since last week. If this doesn't resolve soon I'll need to find a different system.

I've checked here on our end and there's no reported case where customers encounter an error message received when scheduling bill payments with QuickBooks Bill Pay. We can log in to your account using an incognito browser. Private browser prevents saving cache and cookies that sometimes cause errors when running frequently visited websites. Here are the useful shortcut keys you can use to access one:

    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

This is absolutely untrue. I've opened my own tickets precisely for this issue. An incognito browser does not solve it. My issues started mid-November. The lack of resolution or even acknowledgement of a bug from support was insane. I cancelled the service and moved to bill.com

Quickbooks customer service agents will never figure out your problem.  I have this same error and they are useless and will easily waste hours of your time.

contacting customer support is a waste of time.  they don't know how the program works as they are not trained before being put in front of a phone answering our calls.  I end up spending hours training them to show them the problem, and they have no idea how to be helpful other than suggest I need to upgrade to an even more expensive version of quickbooks!!

So frustrated with Quickbooks.  It doesn't work and stops your business from functioning! That's what I am doing next...rather than always trying to upsell you to fix quickbooks' inherent problems, the agents should be instructed to suggest trying another bookkeeping platform!

Their support team is not familiar with the newly QB Billpay feature. Use the app as I mentioned earlier as the workaround.

Thank you!  The support team doesn’t even know about the basic functionality of QuickBooks.  Thank you for the work around solution.  I am looking for complete work around to never have to use that frustrating program with useless customer support again!

Currently, there is an ongoing investigation about the customer not showing in the dropdown when creating an invoice in QuickBooks Online. Rest assured that our Engineering Team is dedicated to working for them to implement a solution that will fix this issue.
