i have quickbooks solopreneur and quickbooks checking account via green dot bank. I need to deposit customer payments received in the form of checks. How do i do this?

If you meet the requirements, the mobile check deposit option will automatically appear on your end. To deposit your check:

 

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks mobile app and navigate to the Menu tab > Cash Flow > Cash flow overview.
  2. From your QuickBooks Checking home page, tap Send Money.
  3. Select Deposit checksNote: If this option is missing, your account isn't yet eligible.
  4. Enter the check amount. Make sure it doesn't exceed the displayed limit.

 

Next, endorse your check by signing the back and writing "For mobile deposit only" under your signature. Finally, review the check details and note the estimated funds availability, then select Finish depositing

What exactly are the eligibility requirements to be approved for mobile check deposit?  no one at quickbooks will tell me. do i need to move more money into the account? does it have to be open for a certain period of time?  how can i get approved?  My  other bank i deal with allows this automatically. Very frustrated that i cannot get approved or get a straight answer. Will be moving to another option soon if i can’t get approved

Mobile check deposit is offered by QuickBooks Checking and is subject to eligibility criteria. Your QuickBooks Checking account must be active and in good standing. There are no fees to use mobile check deposit. 

 

On average, it can take up to 5 business days to receive your funds. We’ll notify you when the money is in your account. You can also sign in anytime and check your transaction history.

 

All checks must be in your name, endorsed by you, and drawn on a bank account in the US or a US territory. You can't cancel a mobile check after you submit it. If you meet this criteria, you can deposit the following types of checks:

 

  • Business checks
  • Personal checks
