I rented a trailer to move a new equipment purchase for the business, which account in expenses do I enter that into?
If it is a capital asset (machinery subject to depreciation) I would think that the cost of getting it there is added to the asset value to be depreciated over the life of the machine.
Or it could be equipment rent
The machine is subject to depreciation but figuring in the moving costs doesn't seem right when you're depreciating the moving costs then.
I found it. There is an equipment rental category when you go looking inside the expense account page that doesn't normally show up.
